Katie Mitzner

VICE PRESIDENT

Katie Mitzner is a Vice President at Tucker/Hall, leading the Orlando office. With more than 25 years of experience in media relations, community engagement, and reputation management, Katie has worked across industries including rail, transportation, healthcare, non-profits, and consumer advocacy.

Most recently, she was Director of Public Affairs for Brightline, overseeing public relations for its $2.7B South Florida to Orlando expansion. Her work earned her several accolades, including Communicator of the Year (2022) by the Space Coast Florida Public Relations Association and the Innovative Transportation Solutions Award (2023) from WTS Central Florida.

Katie began her career in broadcast journalism, reporting for WLNS (Lansing, MI), KARK (Little Rock, AR), and WJRT (Flint, MI). Her consumer reporting led to legislative change in Michigan. She has also worked for the Better Business Bureau, Kaiser Permanente, Orlando Health, and her PR firm, JoLu Communications. Katie’s transportation work started at the Florida Department of Transportation, where she led PR for high-profile projects for Florida’s Turnpike Enterprise, including the launch of express lanes in Orlando.

Katie holds a bachelor’s degree in mass communication from Alma College and a Master’s in Communication Management from USC’s Annenberg School of Communication. She is on the Board of Directors for the East Orlando Chamber of Commerce, active in the Space Coast Florida Public Relations Association and lives with her family in Orlando.
