Clay Hollis is a Vice President at Tucker/Hall where he works to solve complicated issues on behalf of his clients and provides sound advice informed by his experience in the government relations sector.
Before joining Tucker/Hall in 2023, Hollis served as Chief of Staff to President and CEO Paul Anderson at Port Tampa Bay. This role included primary responsibility for all of the port’s government relations activities. As the largest and most diverse port in Florida, Port Tampa Bay serves a broad array of customers and works to grow the state’s economy.
Previously, Hollis served as Director of External Affairs for the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services. In this role, he served as the industry-facing representative of Commissioner Adam Putnam’s office, traveling the state to speak and represent Commissioner Putnam at industry functions, trade organizations, and legislative delegations. Hollis has also worked in Washington, DC, for Rep. Tom Rooney (R-FL). He performed various roles in the office, ending his tenure as the senior legislative assistant, focusing on agriculture, transportation, energy, and water policy. He has worked on various congressional and statewide campaigns.
Hollis graduated from Southern Methodist University with a major in public policy. He is a graduate of the Florida TaxWatch Citizenship Institute, Leadership Tampa Bay, and serves in various leadership roles in the Enterprise Club at the American Enterprise Institute, Florida House on Capitol Hill, and the Florida 4-H Foundation. He had his wife, LeAnna, live in Tampa.
