Tampa, Fla. (June 28, 2011) – Tucker/Hall, Inc., one of Florida’s leading public relations and public affairs firms, welcomes Rafaela Amador as Senior Account Supervisor. She will lead client teams in the areas of public affairs, issues management, and strategic communications.
Amador most recently served as vice president of public affairs and communications at the Greater Tampa Chamber of Commerce. She worked with elected officials, political insiders, and opinion leaders to engage Chamber members and leaders in increased dialogue about local community issues. She also managed the Public Policy Council, and Military Affairs Council, oversaw the management of the Emerge Tampa Bay Program, and served as the Chamber’s media spokesperson.
In 2009, Amador received a Ford Foundation Fellowship for Regional Sustainable Development through the American Chamber of Commerce Executives. She studied ways to support sustainable development efforts through political leadership, regional collaboration, and establishing regional goals and objectives for sustainable development in the Tampa Bay area. Amador has also served as an aide to a Florida House elected official earlier in her career.
Amador holds a bachelor’s degree in International Studies with a Spanish minor and a certificate in Latin American and Caribbean studies from the University of South Florida.
